Fast, Reliable, Proven transactional storage for MySQL

InnoDB Plugin

From here, you can download the Early Adopter release of InnoDB Plugin 1.0 for MySQL 5.1.

The InnoDB Plugin is available in a binary executable file, as a shared library that can be installed or “plugged in” to the MySQL server. The InnoDB Plugin is currently available for the following platforms:

  • Linux generic x86 (32-bit) GLIBC 2.3
  • Linux generic x86_64 (64-bit, AMD64 & Intel EMT64T) GLIBC 2.3
  • CentOS 5.1 x86 x86 (32-bit)
  • FreeBSD 6.x x86 (32-bit)
  • Support for other platforms will be announced.

If you wish or need to build from source, the source code for the InnoDB Plugin is also available under the GNU General Public License (GPL), version 2, and is the same for all operating systems and platforms.

Note: The early adopter release of the InnoDB Plugin can not be dynamically installed on Windows. Windows users must therefore download the source, and follow instructions in the documentation to build from source. A future release of the InnoDB Plugin will support dynamic installation on Windows.

Be sure to check that the version of the plugin (whether source or binary) is compatible with both your platform and your version of MySQL. In general, a specific release of the InnoDB Plugin is designed to be compatible with a range of MySQL releases, but this may vary, so carefully check compatibility information below. The source code for a particular release of the InnoDB Plugin may work with the source for multiple releases of MySQL. However, the binary form of the plugin has been compiled for and tested with a given release of MySQL.
