Licensing InnoDB Hot Backup

To run the program, you must accept the terms of the InnoDB Hot Backup License. (HTML) (PDF)

License types

  • 1-year license: you may use the software only during the 1 year term of the license. You are entitled to upgrade versions issued during that year.
  • Perpetual license: you may use the software indefinitely, and are entitled to upgrade versions issued for 3 years following the date of the purchase.

    • Support

    InnoDB Hot Backup licenses do not include support, which must be purchased separately, and is provided under these terms.

    Server-based, volume and embedded licenses

    Normally, the InnoDB Hot Backup license is bound to the hostname of a server computer. You can transfer your license to another computer, as long as you run one licensed copy on one computer only. To transfer a license, please contact us via email to innodb_sales_ww at oracle.com. Non-hostname-bound licenses are available in large volume orders (minimum five (5) licences) and for special applications.
